Resilience Conference London 2026: Why Recovery is Europe’s Critical Last Line of Defence
October 14, 2026 · The HyperBUNKER Team

Last week, the future of global security gathered in London for the 2026 Resilience Conference. The event brought together the sharpest minds and key stakeholders across defence, national security, investment, and technology.
Among a carefully selected cohort of innovators participating in the LAUNCH@RC showcase, our CEO, Bostjan Kirm, took the stage to represent HYPERBUNKER. In a room full of brilliant minds working on autonomous systems, kinetic interceptors, and AI threat detection, Bostjan brought the conversation back to the absolute foundation of digital survival: what happens when conventional defences fail?
Ransomware is No Longer Just a Data Problem
Today, an alarming 94 per cent of ransomware attacks go for the backups first. Attackers have learned that if they can destroy your safety net, they hold all the leverage.
Once the way back is gone, ransomware ceases to be merely an IT or “data” problem. It becomes a catastrophic operational failure. Without access to critical systems, a hospital cannot treat patients, a utility grid goes dark, and a factory simply stops.
In the context of critical infrastructure and national security, data loss doesn’t just mean a loss of capital, it can cost lives.
Moving from Assumed to Proven Recovery
Right now, Europe is actively rebuilding its digital resilience, pouring resources into detection, protection, and response. These are vital components of any security posture, but they are only part of the equation. Recovery is the part of the cybersecurity chain that is still mostly assumed rather than proven.
Assumed recovery is a dangerous gamble. Ultimately, it is the recovery phase that decides whether a critical system, a business, or a military operation starts again after a total compromise.
Standard connected backups and cloud platforms offer convenience, but as decades of frontline data recovery have taught us: anything that is connected online is hackable.
That is exactly the gap HYPERBUNKER fills. We provide a physical, fully offline recovery anchor, an immutable, air-gapped vault equipped with optical hardware that ensures your most critical data survives worst-case cyber scenarios. By taking data completely offline and beyond the reach of any network-based attack, we make recovery a certainty rather than an assumption.
A Sincere Thank You
We are immensely proud to have been selected for the LAUNCH@RC cohort at this year’s conference.
A massive thank you to Leslie H., John Biggs, and the entire team at Resilience Media for putting on such an essential, mission-driven event. We deeply appreciate you selecting HyperBUNKER and for recognizing the critical importance of putting recovery on the main stage alongside some of Europe’s most relevant emerging defence technologies.
The threat landscape is evolving faster than ever, but so is our capacity to defend against it. At HYPERBUNKER, we will continue building the wall beyond reach, ensuring that when the unthinkable happens, your way back is always secure.
