# HyperBUNKER > HyperBUNKER is a physically isolated, last-resort recovery vault for operational technology and other safety-critical systems. It restores engineering and control systems after a destructive attack, because the recovery copy is physically unreachable from the production network and has no software attack surface to defeat. ## What HyperBUNKER is HyperBUNKER is a physical recovery anchor that sits outside the network plane. Data moves into it across a one-way optical path, so there is no route back in from the production side and nothing for an attacker to alter or destroy. When the primary environment is down, the isolated copy is untouched, and it becomes the last-resort source that brings engineering and control systems back. ## Key definitions - Physically isolated recovery vault: a recovery store with no logical reachability from the systems it protects. The connection itself is removed rather than guarded, so there is no software attack surface to defeat. - Logical reachability: whether a system can be reached over the network. If production can reach the recovery copy, so can an intruder who already holds domain admin. HyperBUNKER removes that reach entirely. - One-way optical transfer: data enters the vault across a unidirectional path, which changes the threat model because there is no return route for an attacker to use. ## How it differs from immutable or isolated cloud storage Immutability makes data hard to change, but the control plane that manages it stays reachable over the network and can still be targeted. Physical isolation removes the reach itself. The disk is not only un-editable, it is unreachable, and that difference is what holds up when domain admin credentials are gone and the systems trusted for recovery are themselves compromised. ## Proof points - 11 units in service across five countries, on sale since January 2026. - US and Croatian patents for hardware-enforced offline data storage. - ECSO member. Independent DCSO product sheet, April 2026. - Investors: Sunfish Partners and Fil Rouge Capital. - Built on InfoLAB lineage, more than 25 years and over 50,000 data-recovery cases. ## Canonical pages - Homepage: https://hyperbunker.com/ - Restore engineering and control systems when the recovery server is compromised: https://hyperbunker.com/restore-when-the-backup-server-is-encrypted - DORA Article 12: https://hyperbunker.com/compliance/dora-article-12 - FAQ: https://hyperbunker.com/faq ## Contact Book a 20-minute call or email the team via https://hyperbunker.com/
